Celebrate the summer at De Garden (NL)
As the summer sun spreads its rays across the Netherlands, there is one place you absolutely cannot miss: The Garden in Enkhuizen (NL). This enchanting garden, located in picturesque Enkhuizen, is the destination for anyone who loves colour, nature and summer cosiness. Evanthia has had an abundance of summer flowers sown at this special location. The wide range will be in bloom in Enkhuizen from the beginning of August.
Pick your summer happiness
What could be better than a summer bouquet from your own miniature picking garden! Lisianthus, Campanula, Celosia…. they may not be the first varieties you think of for sowing a picking garden, but with the presentation at De Garden, Evanthia once again demonstrates that these beloved flowers (in addition to commercial production) are also extremely suitable for consumers. Offering a unique and interactive experience, picking gardens respond perfectly to the growing trend of sustainable living and locally grown products, offering a delightful escape from hectic life.
Besides these three cut flower groups, Evanthia displays at De Garden:
Sunflowers, Tanacetum, Ageratum, Panicum, Anetum, Dianthus, Amaranthus, Stocks, Summer Aster, Setaria, Bupleurum, Cirsium, Ammi and Platycodon.
Open from 29 June to 29 September 2024, the Garden has designated a number of themed Saturdays to welcome visitors to pick flowers:
– 3 August (the first summer flowers are in bloom!)
– 24 August
– 14 September
Sunflower Trials Fleuroselect
As it does every year, Fleuroselect Home Garden Association is highlighting products with an international marketing campaign designed to boost seed and plant sales volumes to end consumers. The year 2024 has been declared “The Year of Sunflowers and Lettuce”. As a Fleuroselect member with a wide range of sunflowers in both the potted and cut flower segments, Evanthia is participating in Fleuroselect’s extensive field trials at De Garden.
Come along this summer to see blooms and compare varieties from a wide range of breeders. Our Sunsation® potted sunflowers, the wide Solano® collection and the new, small-flowered Solcito and Solbrite will be beaming at you.
