Asparagus densiflorus Cwebe is a prickly, subtropical foliage plant with a fine structure. This green plant has a compact, more upright growth habit and slightly broader needle-like leaves than other A. densiflorus varieties. On mature A. Cwebe plants, the new foliage has a striking red/coppery color. Asparagus densiflorus is originally found in East and South Africa, where it grows as a perennial in dry to moist, shady forests and savanna scrub.
