A burst of sunshine: Evanthia’s vibrant showcase at Keukenhof

Spring is awakening, and Keukenhof is opening its gates! From 20 March to 11 May, the world-famous flower park in Lisse will once again welcome visitors for a vibrant spring season. This year, Evanthia is once again dazzling the crowds with an impressive selection of plants, making a colourful contribution to the international horticultural showcase. The spring park in Lisse provides Evanthia with the perfect opportunity to present its innovative breeding and distinctive selections to a global audience.
A sunny and tropical touch
Evanthia is bringing a dazzling palette of colours to the Willem-Alexander Pavilion! This year, the golden-yellow Sunsation® potted sunflower stands out with its bright, cheerful blooms, adding to the lively display. New to our Keukenhof display is the tropical Cordyline, adding a dynamic pop of colour. Varieties such as Pink Passion, Red Star, and Lime Passion introduce a playful, exotic touch, making the display even more vibrant. These two stars can be admired in the pavilion, each with its own presentation – yet together, they guarantee an extraordinary burst of colour and energy!

A blessing for a blooming Easter
Alongside its striking displays within Keukenhof, Evanthia also plays a role in a special Easter tradition. As in previous years, the company is sponsoring Dutch flowers for the Easter Mass at St Peter’s Square in Rome – this year featuring Celosia Reprise and Act. In the week leading up to Easter, before the “Dutch Flowers for the Pope“ set off from Keukenhof for the Vatican, they receive a traditional blessing from Monsignor Van den Hende, Bishop of Rotterdam. This symbolic moment is a gesture of unity, highlighting the 39-year bond between the Vatican and Dutch flowers.
