Jeroen's selection
- Ravenala madagascariensis: Ravenala, Also known as the traveller’s tree, often stands with its leaves oriented from east to west. This characteristic positioning of the leaves traditionally helps travellers get their orientation, which explains the name ‘traveller’s tree’.
- Alocasia Imperial Red: New in our range and I like the addition because of its fresh green (large) leaves with pink/red coloured stems underneath. In various pot sizes and therefore versatile.
- Strelitzia reginae: I have one inside my house myself. Nice tough look and can take a lot. A real survivor!
- Calathea: My father used to grow Calatheas. There are so many different species/colours/shapes, really beautiful.
- Grevillea robusta: Not very well known among most people, but it looks tough and when you touch its leaves it feels soft, contrary to its appearance.
Michel's favourites
- Lavandula Cleo-Patio®: The compact habit of Cleo-Patio® is very special. Especially after 2 – 3 years in the garden it looks like the plant has been ‘Bonzai-ed’: a perfect round shape of Lavandula flowers. Sharp contrast from the ‘standard’ Lavandula’s that are falling open in the garden after a few years.
- Helianthus Sunsation® Compact: Sunsation® is a special compact pot Helianthus series. Sunsation® Compact however does not need any growth regulators to stay compact. This is an important feature in recent times where consumers focus on all additions of chemicals, less chemicals is better!’
- Matthiola StoX® Silver: Matthiola StoX® is a special series where seedlings can easily be selected for double flowers. Even though the StoX® Silver variety is a little slower compared to the other colours (that grow quicker than the competing varieties), the unique and special colour is more than worth waiting for.
- Tanacetum Cameron: Matricaria is a crop that is much appreciated by the Japanese consumers. The newly bred variety ‘Cameron’ has a bigger flower and nice volume. A good step from Evanthia breeders in developing varieties with improved characteristics that are appreciated by growers and consumers.
Celosia Act Verda: The Celosia Act series perfectly suits the Japanese climate for production of nice cut flowers. All the Act colours are appreciated, but especially Verda, with it’s green colour, has a very ‘natural’ feeling.
Sonia's recommendations

- Campanula Big Ben series: The beautiful large flowers of the Campanula Big Ben series are true showstoppers. The majestic appearance of these flowers adds a touch of elegance.
- Tanacetum Cameron: This Matricaria has beautiful white flowers with a lovely yellow center. It adds a touch of freshness and vibrancy to a bouquet.
- Matthiola StoX® series: Matthiola StoX® combines the best of both worlds with a strong stem, beautiful long spike and early selectability.
Scott's collection
- Antirrhinum Orleans White Imp III-IV: Antirrhinum is a beautiful flower that I have always loved, it makes any vase more beautiful and vibrant!
- Celosia Reprise Rose: An incredible flower that reminds me of coral in oceans. The unique colors and shape always fascinate me!
- Monstera deliciosa: Monsteras are probably my favorite plants. They remind me of tropical environments and I love their spiny leaves and the giant size they can reach.

- Monstera deliciosa: Monsteras are probably my favourite plants. They remind me of tropical environments and I love their particular leaf shape and the giant size they can reach.
- Matthiola StoX® Champagne: This flower fascinates me by bringing an atmosphere of sophistication wherever it stands. The double, folded flowers are beautiful and intense. My grandfather grew Matthiola in Holland, so it has sentimental value as well.
Gert-Jan's choice
- Antirrhinum Toulon Lavender IV-V: The snapdragon has a beautiful flower shape which radiates extra class and charisma in a bouquet. Lavender is a beautiful soft colour.
- Helianthus Solano® Double: The pompon-like shape of these fluffy flowers is what gives this Solano® a unique look.

Marvin's selection
- Adenium Basic Pink: Wonderful product. When you see a mature desert rose in full bloom, you are immediately sold. Bonsai and flowering product come together here.
- Strelitzia nicolai: Not without a reason one of the most popular tropical plants at the moment. Bringing a very strong, tropical appearance into your home with its look-a-like banana leaves. The upgrowing habit directly brings a lot of green to your house, even with limited space available.
- Lavandula Cleo-Patio® Blue: The stunning Lavandula. This perennial returns to the garden year after year and can withstand significant cold. It also makes a lovely addition to the garden with its compact growth and luxurious gray-green foliage. Cleo-Patio offers impressive flowering power each year with its abundant, beautiful purple blooms.
