Evanthia welcomes Tour de France Femmes with golden yellow sunflowers
On 12 August, the Tour de France Femmes will start in Rotterdam (NL) and pass through a sparkling part of Westland in the first stage, right by Evanthia’s location on the Oranjesluisweg/Groeneweg! As a sporting company with many avid cyclists and cycling fans among its employees, we are naturally overjoyed to welcome this amazing cycling race and will ensure a festive and colourful atmosphere. Along the route at Evanthia, a cheerful sea of yellow sunflowers will glow in the sun, a beautiful tribute to the cyclists of the Tour de France Femmes and the typical yellow tour colour!
Westlands cycling fest
The Tour de France for Women is not only a sporting highlight, but also a celebration of community spirit, which is already so strong in the Westland. Just as flowers bring people together, so does sport. This year may be extra special because Mylène de Zoete (CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling Team team), who is ambassador of the Grand Depart Tour de France Femmes on behalf of the Westland municipality, may be riding through her home region. Mylène is on the preliminary start list of the Tour de France Femme. Her presence will add an extra touch of Westland pride and joy to this special day.
