Growing Trachelium
If you are considering starting to grow Trachelium, keep in mind some basic growing principles. In addition to a strong need for good air circulation, adequate drainage and moderate climatic conditions, Trachelium is a true long-day plant. Day length plays a crucial role in the flowering cycle. Evanthia's Trachelium series
The varieties of Evanthia each have their own specific qualities and combined they offer potential for a rock-solid year-round program in milder climates:
- Trachelium Corine series brings uniformity and has good branching and rapid bud formation. Corine can be produced almost year-round. Whereas other varieties sometimes have difficulty with forming buds in darker, cooler periods, this is precisely something Corine scores well on.
- The Trachelium Early Supreme and Supreme series offer beautiful colours and uniform stems with a large central flower cluster surrounded by smaller umbels from the side branches. Where other series in the market may have difficulty reaching sufficient length in the summer period, this is something Supreme excels at.
